Spent Labor day in Savannah this past weekend celebrating a friends last month of being a “Miss”.
It was my first time being and Savannah, and it was beautiful!.. HOT.. but beautiful!
We stayed in a loft smack in the middle of all the action off Broughton Street. It was a brisk walk to river street and historic savannah.
Thoughts:
River Street. Full of taffy and booze!
Chippewa Square Channeling Forrest Gump!
We had dinner at a place called Crocodile Soul. Do not be
deceived by the name, they don’t serve crocodile. The food was pretty good, but over priced for what it was (average $32 a plate). I got the Duck Succotash Cassoulet, the duck was very dry. I did also try the Squash Lasagne, which was fantastic, and the cornbread was delicious.
Tybee Beach was gorgeous. The soft sand and perfect water temperature of the Atlantic ocean made our LA beaches seem frigid. The seafood wasn’t bad either.
